At this time, only four of the 13 spellings of Leask are represented in the Leask Surname Y-DNA study: Leask, Leisk, Lisk, and Lusk. While we welcome anyone to join the study including someone with one of those four spellings, we are especially interested in having those with one of the remaining nine names to join the study. There are many types of DNA tests, but due to cost and usefulness for our project we recommend either the 37 marker or the 67 marker Y-DNA tests – the 67 market test being more expensive but also more conclusive. At the time of this posting these tests cost $148 and $248 US, respectively. The 111 marker Y-DNA test is the most conclusive but often quite cost-prohibitive.

- Scroll down the page and click the orange “Order Now” button next to either Y-DNA37 or Y-DNA67 Male Line Testing options (or whatever option you prefer).
- Follow the steps provided by Family Tree DNA to purchase the test and any additional products you may be interested in. When completed, Family Tree DNA will send you a confirmation email containing a kit number and a temporary password
- Follow the instructions in the confirmation email to establish your account and password on Family Tree DNA’s website.
